Sheesh, what a week (or so)

I’ve been working on this update for several days, running out of time at each attempt, and decided to use this morning’s break time to get it posted.

Oh, and if I owe you email or a phone call, sorry. I’m really behind on all correspondence.

Saturday was a fun ride with the Cascade Bicycle Club-We started out at the Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville, rode down the Sammamish River trail, around the lake and back to the brewery for lunch (and a beer or two) at Forecaster’s Pub

Red Hook Lake Sammamish Ride

The ride was 35 miles and the group I was with averages about 15 mph.

After that, I headed over to the Y for a swim workout. I could barely feel my legs after a few rounds of dolphin kicking.

I killed my bike computer some time ago, and have been relying on my Garmin for bike data. Since I use it for multi-sport/triathlon, it’s a wrist model and it’s difficult to view my current speed. It also doesn’t stop the clock when I stop so my average speed doesn’t calculate correctly.

I sucked it up and bought a Sigma wireless bike computer. Since I’m going to be leading rides for Both Cascade and the Tacoma Wheelmen, I need to make sure that I’m riding the advertised pace of the ride and I need to be able to see that quickly. It will also be nice to know what my actual average is. This model is waterproof, so hopefully I won’t kill it as quickly as my previous one.

AND, it’s wireless… which made it much easier to install

On Sunday, I took a group out for the Tacoma Wheelmen. We started at the HUB which is only four blocks from my place and it’s happy hour all day on Sunday ($5 buffalo chicken pizza… YUM!)

In honor of my favorite ride start location, I work my favorite Cycles Gladiator Jersey. (I have a long sleeve one for winter and a sleeveless one for summer)

bike stuff (aka gear whorage) 006

This ride was 38 miles with about 1,900 feet of climbing. We made a loop around Pt Defiance, crossed the narrows bridge, rode the Cushman Powerline Trail all the way to the hilly end (several 8-10 percent grades) down to the Gig Harbor waterfront and up Soundview.

Speaking of Soundview. I am a DORK. The reason I had such trouble on the early season ride to Gig Harbor is that I’ve been using the wrong (very steep, it’s like climbing a wall) road to get out of town. I’ve been climbing up Pioneer instead of Soundview [slaps self on forehead]

This was a fun route and a good workout; I’ll definitely lead that trip again.

Happy Hour Sunday Ride

Monday was work, recovery and trying to shovel through the mess all over my apartment; it seems I’m only home long enough to dirty dishes, drop outdoor/bike gear all over the place and sleep. It’s not clean, but it’s not a health hazard any more. I’ll work on it a bit more tonight after spin class.

I did get some rest Sunday evening.

I was sitting on the couch, admiring my pedicure (Angie took a few of us out for a pedi party last week).

Then I noticed the shiny gold duck that Kelly sent me.

And since I’m never out of reach of a camera…

weird, abstract, fun & just plain wrong 001

weird, abstract, fun & just plain wrong 004

weird, abstract, fun & just plain wrong 008

Speaking of poultry…

My friend Sonia has been recovering from a procedure and is bored out of her skull.

She is amused by peeps, so I threw together a little YouTube video for her.

It took WAY longer than it should have because WINDOWS LIVE MOVIE MAKER SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!!! I had to go to Windows Live because my new camera shoots .mov format (QuickTime, I HATE HATE HATE you too!) and the old, serviceable version of Windows Movie Maker doesn’t support that (or many other formats) So instead of just fixing a program that worked decently, they created a newer, crappier version.

Based on reviews and results from my friend Mark (waves to Tokyo where he’s visiting and it’s snowing) I uploaded Pinnacle Studio.

I think I’ll make a St Patty’s Day Dash video and use that for editing.

And with that, my break is over and I need to get back to work.

Yowza! What a Weekend!

~

This is going to be an interesting weekend recap, as I’m not certain I can remember it all.

I’ve been continuing to work out as hard as I can (which is not up to snuff for summer, but has been pretty good for late January/early February) not only to get back into shape for triathlon/backpacking season, and to lose the winter/death of family & friends/stress weight I put on, but to get ready to tackle Chilly Hilly next weekend.

My totals so far for the month of February are 176.6 miles on the bike; I’ll end up with over 200 miles this month which is double what I got last month, 66 miles on the spin bike, a measly two miles on snowshoes (mother nature is not cooperating in the snow department) and 6.5 miles of swimming. I need to crank up my running before the St Patty’s Day Dash(s) (I’ll be doing on in Tacoma on that Saturday and then the Seattle dash the following day) I’m also set up to run the Tacoma City Half Marathon again.

So the “weekend” (behavior) started out with the 100th Monkey event on Wednesday night (after masters swim). It continued with Speakeasy’s Grand Opening event on Thursday night (after spin class).

On Friday, I took off work early (lest I go over 40 hours for the week) to head down to Tacoma Bike to get fitted for the new bike.

After that, Bill was going crazy wanting to go for a ride (we had SUN) so he came and got me, and we headed over to the Foothills Trail to crank out a quick 16 miles (counting the 2 ½ I rode down to the shop, I got 18.5 in.

[slideshow below]

Diva (The new bike) and I were LOVING the SUN! (and the fact that you can actually see the mountain on my jersey in the background)

First Sunny Ride of 2010 - Febraury Insanity 011

After that, we headed to the HUB for Happy Hour. After that, I headed over to Molly’s for some BFF time.

Saturday morning, I drug my tired carcass out of bed and headed up to Seattle for a wonderful bike ride with the Cascade Bicycle Club. We started out on Lake Washington, headed up towards I-90, rode through the bike tunnel into the city (all except Bruce, who ended up on Mercer Island by mistake; he came back across the bridge, backtracked on the Lake Washington Loop and found us on the Burke-Gilman Trail in Ballard), cruised through China Town, out along the waterfront, up past Myrtle Edwards Park, over the Ballard Locks, stopped for snacks at the Essential Baking Company in Wallingford, cruised down the Burke-Gliman Trail to the UW where we cut over onto the Lake Washington Loop, across the top of the Arboretum and back down to the Lake. I discovered that I need to do some adjustment on my front derailleur on the new bike; it doesn’t like to shift down onto the small ring (for those who don’t ride, that’s where the small/hilling climbing gears live), which isn’t so much fun in a place like Seattle.

Diva (the new bike) LOVES Seattle too! (the bridge behind me is the “wrong turn” that Bruce made. That bridge goes away from Seattle to Mercer Island, not towards Seattle where we were going-He says we can put a leash on him next time ;)

CBC Seattle Urban Tour Ride - February 2010 006

[slideshow below]

After that, we headed over to the Columbia City Ale House to unwind.

CBC Seattle Urban Tour Ride - February 2010 034

Because I hadn’t kicked my own butt quite enough and I had some time before Dez’s party, I made a quick trip to the Y to get in a short (only half an hour) swim workout in. I tried to do mostly upper body & core in order to give my legs a break.

I ran home, got cleaned up, tossed some hot rollers in my hair, put on a bit of lipstick and mascara and headed over to Dez’s party, where we were treated to a private Kim Archer concert before she headed over to her gig at the HUB. It was great to hear her amazing voice and to hang out with her a bit.

Play Time party 006

(I look like I’m up to no good in this picture ;)

Play Time party 008

Sunday morning, I woke up with sore tired legs, but I sucked it up and headed out to meet the Tacoma Wheelmen for a lovely ride in the rural countryside from Spanaway down to McKenna where we were treated to spectacular views of the mountain. We had lunch at the McKenna Y Restaurant and then headed out to Roy and did the route that cuts through the base formerly known as Ft Lewis (now Joint Base Lewis McChord).

(we had just exited the base when this picture was taken; we were buzzing along about 16 mph (which doesn’t sound fast until you think about hitting the pavement at that speed) with Bill behind me “pulling a Leo” nagging me about my bad habit of taking pictures while riding. Yes, my first terrible bike crash will most likely involve a camera ;)

TWBC Spanaway-McKenna Ride February 2010 022

The road coming into Roy has a gate across it to prevent vehicle access, but there is room for bicycles and pedestrians to walk in between the gate and the fence. It’s a great place to get off the busy highway for a while.

I have a policy of never misbehaving in another country or on a military base, because that’s just stupid. Louie assured us that we were OK. I checked and there were no signs that said “no trespassing” or otherwise denying access (and those places are clearly marked). The only sign we did see said, “You are Voluntarily entering a military installation at your own risk” (ie; don’t whine and sue us if you get hit with a mortar or run over by a Stryker vehicle)

When we connected with the East Gate road, we ran into an MP and commented on his new JBFLMC stickers for his car. We chatted a bit while waiting for the rest of the group to catch up.

Louie asked if he said anything to us about where we came from and we said no. He joked that he was probably afraid to, thinking that I might be a Colonel’s wife. I puffed up and said, “Or maybe a Colonel”. Louie laughed and said, “yeah, but they’re more afraid of Colonel’s wives than Colonels.” True… We all got a good laugh out of that one.

The hills on this ride were nice rollers and I have got some sprints in. I was going to take it easy, but it was too nice a day and the sun energized me.

[slideshow below]

After the ride, I went over to Molly & Charlie’s for dinner. They wanted to make sure that I got a good high protein meal after my weekend of beating the crap out of myself working out; so we had salmon, tenderloin, baked potatoes and a lovely fresh salad.

I stopped at Freddie’s on the way home for gas and milk and discovered that the 70% off the lowest marked down price sale was on, so I picked up a few shirts (around $5 each) that aren’t outdoor gear.

I ran into my friend Linda, who I haven’t seen in a long time and we chatted a bit. I got home a bit later than planned, but still managed to get almost 8 hours sleep last night.

And now, my lunch break is over, and I’m getting back to work…

Lunch time Quickie

~

I only have a few moments to crank out a quick update as I’m eating lunch on the fly today.

It’s only Tuesday and I’m already exhausted.

I’m scrambling at work to catch up from being sick last week (I did work at home several days, but I was sick and not all that productive) and to top it all off, I’ve got end of fiscal month GL reporting due today [bangs head on desk]

Sunday night was a fabulous dinner party at the DeRosas (complete with yummy wine and tasty leftovers for lunch the next day)

Yesterday was a long work day followed by picking up a few boxes of my mother’s personal effects from the post office, then a meeting at Speakeasy; we’re getting down to crunch time for our being open for business not just special events on Thursday, and it appears that I’ll be co-managing the retail portion of the gallery (I’ve not been good about saying “no” lately; over extending myself has been a long standing problem of mine)

I stayed up way too late last night going through my Mom’s stuff. I posted a few pictures last night on my blogs, I’ll update more on that process another time.

Today I’m having to crunch numbers for end of fiscal month reporting (not the most “glamorous” part of this job)

There is a lot of crazy stuff going on; and its’ one of those days where I really wish I could blog/talk about work. Oh well… I did get to ring the weasel bell.

On my way home, I’m delivering a calendar to a customer and then meeting some of the other artists to help them set up their PayPal accounts (and teach a couple of them how to use the wifi on their laptops) We’re doing it at the HUB, so there will be the benefit of being paid in Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Puget Sound Porter.

Tomorrow is equally insane, and I have a mixer at Premier Media group for we writer and photographer types for South Sound and 425 magazines.

Thursday is more work, and our first full day of being open as a gallery not just an event space at Speakeasy.

Friday is my “day off” (from the day job) and my first shift in the gallery.

I need to find time (and energy) to run, swim and bike this weekend.

That’s it.

That was a wild ride…

The weekend I mean…

I’m just now getting around to typing up a post.

Friday started out with a phone call from the police department (work related and not local that’s all I’ll say) and I spent most of the morning logged in to work.

I ran few errands, including running my calendars over to Speakeasy and then met my friend Betsy for birthday margaritas.

I started feeling a bit scratchy in the throat but didn’t think much of it.

Saturday was my birthday and it didn’t start out quite the way I’d planned. I’d realized the day before when I picked up my mail and got some birthday cards from friends, that I’d never see another birthday card from my Mom.

I may have had a less than stellar upbringing and we may have had a weird relationship, but she was my mom.

Normally, I’d have talked to my mom on the phone, and she’d have re told the story of my birth, starting with my near entrance in that silly restaurant at LAX (the one that looks like the Space Needle, only suspended by four arms)

then the ambulance proceeded through the streets of Los Angeles and broke up a Nixon rally. My mom always credited me with his gubernatorial defeat in 1962 because no one wanted to hear him speak, they wanted to see what was going on in the ambulance.

And of course, the story ended with her “hanging on to the side rails, looking up at the clock (upside down) which read 3:26 AM and saying “NEVER AGAIN” and I didn’t!” (not unlike the scene in City Slickers when Billy Crystal’s character gets the annual call from his mom on his birhtday talking about her labor)

I’ll never get that call again.

I did not expect to have it hit me like that; I did not expect to send a few hours on my couch crying like an idiot. I supposed the first Christmas, Mother’s Day, etc… will be “interesting”

I hadn’t slept well the night before due to the aforementioned scratchy throat and several coughing fits.

I finally pulled it together and headed over to Molly’s house to cook up a batch of my famous infamous turkey/black bean chili and have some best friend time.

There’s nothing quite like some best friend time, and created a meal that everyone enjoys to cheer a person up (a glass of champagne helped too)

My friend Lauri was out from Sand Point Idaho for SteamCon, so I was able to “introduce” her to my friend Don (formerly of Wyoming, now from here) who was also attending and they drove down together…

birthday 2009 002

I hadn’t seen my friend Monk for a while, and he certainly got into the spirit of the whole thing…

Gretchen & Al had the whole “Sonny & Cher” thing going on

Rick & Tony were a spooktacular couple

Deborah, Steph and I had the super hero thing going on (which we will expand upon at our work event later this week)

Of course, there was much karaoke fun and dancing goodness

I was dealing with an increasingly scratchy throat and lost my voice by the end of the evening (singing karaoke with a cold is not a smart thing to do unless you want laryngitis)

But my night wasn’t over; even though it was well past my bed time and I still had to make it over to the event at Speakeasy (which is thankfully VERY close to my house).

When I walked in the door (after lots of hoots, hollers and “Right Ons”) walking down the street dressed as BatGirl I discovered that one of my big photographs was gone. There were two possibilities. One was that it got knocked down and the glass in the frame cracked or that it sold.

Angie ran up to me and told me that it sold and handed me a check. THAT was a warm fuzzy! (and I really needed some money for groceries, gas and cat food)

I got home way too late and was up most of the night coughing.

I hit the ground running on Sunday knocking errands off my list: bank, gas, groceries, lunch at Molly’s, pick up new print at Costco, buy new frame for said print, and a meeting at Speakeasy, where I rehung the print. By that time, I couldn’t speak at all without near excruciating pain in my throat.

I came home, got into my moose jammies and started a routine of using the neti-pot and gargling with salt water every two hours (sadly, even when I should be sleeping because I’d start coughing if I didn’t)

I added cough syrup with an expectorant to thin the mucous to my arsenal of : Ricola cough drops, Traditional Medicinal teas, neti-pot and salt water gargle. The couch and throat is all snot, so the neti-pot is to deal with that and the salt water gargle is to heal the throat and keep it from getting infected. I’ve also been using steam with essential oils in it. I should probably buy stock in Kleenex.

I’m hoping that I sleep tonight because I really need to be at work tomorrow (at least this crud hit on a four day weekend and I never felt “sick”)

I don’t really care if I get my voice back tomorrow or not, I hate talking on the phone [wink]

and with that, I should get my snotty self to bed.

Blue Monday

~

Normally, I’m not one of the “I hate Monday” crowd, but today, Monday is pretty darn “Meh”

My weekend just didn’t feel like a weekend I guess.

I was collateral damage during the huge traffic nightmare that was every North to South route in Western Washington on Friday after work. Normally I don’t drive, I take the train, but I had a bunch of errands to run and was hauling large picture frames, so I needed by truck.

The story of the insanity that was Friday (including my walking to the grocery store in my polar bear jammies for pomegranate juice so that I could make a 2nd martini once I finally got home) is here

It took me a while to unwind and get to sleep, but I finally did.

I had lots of errands to run Saturday, including dealing with some paperwork regarding one of my mother’s accounts. I guess the gray weather and short days are taking their toll on me. Although it’s been getting a lot easier to deal with, Saturday was not one of the easy days and it made me sad. I also had to go grocery shopping, pick up some more framing supplies after dealing with mail.

I headed back over to Speakeasy to finish hanging my stuff (I was so stressed and tired on Friday night that I just didn’t have time to finish). I was still feeling pretty yucky and sinusy and the old guy from the antique store next door smoking in front of his business and letting his smoke blow in our open door made me feel even more sick. This is going to be difficult for me to deal with; more people smoke in the gritty area of downtown (some due to age, others due to socio-economic factors) and the fact that I find it to be a filthy disgusting habit is one thing but the fact that it sets off my allergies and makes me sick is another matter entirely. I’ll have to stock up on anti-histamines and maybe some of that nasal gel block stuff, because I know people will smoke in front of the building and not abide by the law that smoking needs to be done 25 feet away from an entrance. (you’d think that in a state where less than 17% of people smoke, I wouldn’t have to deal with it quite so often-especially since I tend to hang with health minded and well educated individuals)

I went home, did a quick rinse with the neti pot and walked over to the HUB to meet with some city leaders and bike advocate types. Since the weather was awful, they had bagged the ride and everything was breaking up when I got there. Several folks came back (those that did ride there) after they went out to get on their bikes and discovered the hail storm, so at least I had a beer and some conversation with friends for an hour or so.

I spent the rest of Saturday night taking care of art/photography/business stuff (and spending the last of my money to get things printed up) and then finally wandered off to bed way too late. (exciting Saturday nights I have eh?)

Sunday was spent clearing out my closet (this thing is 12 feet long, the length of my living room and only 3 feet wide and requires that everything be pulled out to do any rearranging or switching of seasonal stuff) so that I can store 15 boxes of my Mom’s personal effects which are going to be shipped to me this week (and an ungawdly cost, but it’s better than having to go down there)

I wanted them to be in a spot where they would be out of the way, out of sight and out of mind. I will need to be in just the right frame of mind to go through them, and having boxes strewn all over my tiny 450 sq foot apartment would stress me out. This way, I can take one box at a time when I feel like it. I am looking forward to some of the old old pictures I was trying to get my Mom to send me so that I could scan them.

I made sure to move my holiday stuff to the front so that I can pull it out when the boxes of other stuff show up.

If all goes well, this will be the last holiday season I’ll spend in that apartment. I could be in my own (it won’t be big, but it will be bigger than that place, and it will be mine) place by the end of summer.

I spent the very last of my money until next pay day getting calendars printed up to be delivered in time for our Speakeasy event on Saturday night (I have to go there after my birthday party)

I hope I sell some prints/calendars because I’ve got $20 to last me until next payday; that’s over a week and a half away (this whole starting a business thing is NOT cheap, but hopefully it will pay off in the end; I’ve just got to suck it up now)

So that’s it… The weekend was work work work and now I’m back to work.

What a Wild Ride!

~
To say that today was a wild ride would be a gross understatement.

I drove to work today because I needed my vehicle to run errands at lunch and haul butt back to Tacoma… (yeah, more on that later)

I was at work bright and early and got a lot accomplished.

I ran out to Southcenter at lunch to pick up some frames at Michaels to hang my photos at the Speakeasy Art Cooperative after work.

speakeasy

It was pouring rain (or as we like to say here in Washington State, it was “raining Cougars and Huskies”)

The impending flood (either by catastrophic dam failure or release) in the valley in which I work is an increasingly apparent and alarming issue. I am worried about the data centers, distribution centers and businesses who are headquarted there. It’s a big deal.

The bike trails and some roads are closed, being piled high with giant sandbags that require bulldozers to fill and move. We have evacuation plans in place, King County has advised we VanShare drivers that we can use the vans to evacuate co-workers, friends and family and have give us our options if we are flooded out of work for a month (flooded out for a month? WTF?) They have mentioned the flooding with be on the level of Hurricane Katrina…

Boeing is building an amazing “flood wall” out of highly structured sandbags. (of course, since the “space center” is pretty much about weapons I suspect the government is kicking in some bucks)

I took pictures and sent them to our businesses managers and safety committee. I’d like to see this done for our data center.

1016091034a.jpg
1016091034.jpg

Work was insanely busy, and it seems that people in general (no one I work with) are quite snippy and some downright mean as of late, so some of it was challenging.

I headed out at 3:00 PM to “beat” rush hour traffic, pick up my prints at Costco and head to Speakeasy to frame and hang them.

Oh… the best laid plans…

Traffic in the Puget Sound sucks. It sucks pond water, but today was the nightmare of all traffic nightmares.

FOUR major traffic alerts, three of them on the Interstate 5 corridor. 167 was no better (it sucks on a good day) there was no good way to go South. Normally, I’d stay late or do something else. Today, I had no choice. I HAD to go South-I had to go then.

Normally, I’d be on the train. I LOVE the train, the train rocks!

I checked the traffic report, stayed off I-5 which was parking lot, and headed down 99.

It took me 1:45 (that’s one HOUR and 45 minutes) to get 15 miles from Kent to Fife. It was a total of two hours before I finally arrived at Costco. I almost ran out of gas on the way.

I swear, I “almost” understand road rage. I was so tempted to yell at/flip people off (a lot of them were acting like asshats and deserved it) but I didn’t. I still had a headache (I’ve been fighting off a but and my head and sinuses feel like crap anyway)

By the time I got the prints picked up, nails purchased (I never had time to go home) and arrived at Speakeasy, I was practically in tears from stress, tiredness, frustration and hunger. I had been up since 4:30 AM and arrived there just before 6:00 PM.

It sure cheered me up to see what Angie and crew have done with the space and to meet a few other artists. I met a very nice older man who is a painter and a younger, edgier photographer/artist. It was great to meet them both.

When I was about ready to cry from hunger and my head/sinuses were pounding, Angie showed up with leftover nachos from Matador (a place I simply MUST go check out for happy hour) which she happily shared with me.

The universe will provide and Angie rocks!

Jesse was hungry and I shared with him.

I mean after all, that’s what a cooperative is all about, right?

I’ll need to go back tomorrow to finish hanging, but I at least got my space staked out and my art framed.

I came home, grabbed a snack (those nachos saved my ass) and made a kick ass pomegranate martini.

I ran out of pomegranate juice and decided to walk to my corner market (Stadium Thirftway) to get some more.

And I did it in my polar bear jammies.

I did it because:

I deserved another martini

Because I could

and because I’m a “gritty Tacoman”.

This message was sent using the Picture and Video Messaging service from Verizon Wireless!

The amusing thing is… No one looked at me funny, no one even noticed.

I live in such a Bohemian neighborhood that it’s considered normal.

And now, I’m going to switch to Sleepytime tea and head to bed.

Tomorrow is a busy day, logging into work, errands-lots of errands, hanging art, working at Speakeasy, doing the bike advocacy thing and then trying to take care of personal business stuff.

One thing is certain, life is never boring.

*note this post will be my first test of the cross post to LJ feature on DreamWidth (where I am also wildcelticrose)

I took off work early today because I’ll be working some tomorrow. I also needed to pick up my race packet for the Tacoma City Half Marathon. The shirts are RED this year which is cool!

I also needed to pick up my new shiny glasses.

Here they are…

new glasses 002

and the shot showing the cute detail on the sides.

glasses 002

I’ve got my contacts back in because that’s what I wear 98% of the time, but it’s nice to have good glasses in my current Rx that are cute. The allergy eye drops I was prescribed last time I was there have worked very well.

If you live in Tacoma, I highly recommend Family Vision & Contact Lens Center in Proctor. Dr Gorham and his staff are awesome. (I’m sure Dr Pugh is good too, he’s just not my doc)

I grabbed Shiny out of the bike room and work and took her over to the Icky Boy’s so he’d have a bike to ride while his is torn apart.

I did get an unpleasant surprise in my mail box…

A STUPID jury summons.

It’s a total waste of time for me because no defense attorney will allow me on their trial. I’m a former law enforcement officer and have even been an acting AUSA.

I am NOT amsued.

And with that, I’ve got to get ready for a bike ride in the glorious sunshine while it lasts (it’s supposed to rain this weekend)

Racy!!!

~

I sat down with my calendar the other day and decided on my race/ride/tri schedule for 2009.

I’ve decided against doing full marathons this year. With all the biking and swimming I need to do, (in addition to hiking, backpacking and climbing) I think the amount of running required would just break me down. This will of course change when and if I finally decide to do an Iron Man. (not for at least two more years)

I did however do something crazy and sign up for my first Olympic Distance triathlon on June 6th which Gene (pictured below) and Annie are going to do with me. (WHAT was I thinking?)

IMG_0421

So without further ado…

March 14th, St Patty’s Day Run 5K (done)
April 4th, Tulip Pedal, 40 mile route (maybe we’ll actually have tulips this year?)
April 11th, Easter Triathlon, Sprint distance
April 19th, Daffodil Classic, 60 mile route
May 3rd, Tacoma City Half Marathon
May 9th, Mothers Day Triathlon, Sprint distance
May 31st, Great Kilted Run, 5K
June 6th, Moses Lake Triathlon, Olympic distance
June 13th, Flying Wheels Summer Century, full 100 mile century ride
June 20th, Five Mile Lake Triathlon, Olympic distance
June 27th, Rock & Roll Seattle Half Marathon
July 5th, Trek Women’s Triathlon, Sprint distance
